Today we went on a trip to Paint the Earth. We had a fabulous time. We travelled by bus which was exciting for all the children. Here are our fotobabbles!

On Thursday Room 20 was lucky to have a visit from 'Little Bo' the lamb. Thank you so much to Rachel for bringing him in. Little Bo is quite big but only 5 weeks old. Here are some fotobabbles about the lamb's visit.

Wow What a fantastic day today. We had a cultural day at Pinehill School. All the children dressed in clothes that reflected the origins of their family. We had a mid morning parade followed by a shared lunch. Here are a few of the photos with comments from Room 20 children.

Patterns

We have been looking at patterns in maths. Some of us found some geometric patterns around school but we have been mainly working on making repeating patterns with our maths equipment.

Kia Kaha and The Pinehill Way

We have worked on the Pinehill Way and the Kia Kaha programme all term. We are learning to get along with our classmates and are building a safe and happy classroom.

Pirates and Fairies Day at Pinehill School

What a great day we had on Friday! We all enjoyed the obstacle course in the morning and tried the fairy bread before morning tea. After morning tea we made fairy and wizard wands and then we made a pirate ship on the deck. The last photo shows us making our pirate treasure maps.
We want to say a huge thank you to the Room 20 parents who helped us make the most of our day. You were fantastic!!

Kia Kaha - How are we different?

We took a photo of ourselves with our friends this week and talked about the differences between us.
Here are some of the things we thought of.

• I have different colour hair to you 
• I have different colour eyes to you
• I am a girl and you are a boy
• Your head is round and mine is oval shaped
• Your hair is frizzy and mine is straight

What is special about me?

This week we have been talking about what makes us special. Room 20 are really good thinkers and came up with the following suggestions about themselves.

I can....do a handstand, do a back flip, swim by myself, do the splits, jump off the tornado.
I am ....kind, always good for my mum, good at climbing trees.
I like...playing with my sister, to dress up, to play games.
I swim with my big brother. I can swim by myself. I have food delivered. I ride fast on my bike. I went to kindy.
Wow, you really are special Room 20!
